Arrest of client represented by Michael Cibella in homicide case cleared by the NYPD
Upon being contacted within hours of his client’s arrest on criminal charges related to the arrest of the client’s employer for a high-profile homicide, Michael Cibella immediately arrived at the police precinct to help facilitate the release of his client with all charges being dropped by the New York City Police Department and his client’s arrest being voided after it was established that Mr. Cibella’s client was merely a “Good Samaritan” who broke up the deadly dispute.
Multiple felony drug charges against client dismissed as a result of evidence presented by Michael Cibella
After arranging for the speedy extradition of his client from New York to New Jersey so that his client could have a bail hearing and be released from jail to defend against multiple felony drug sale allegations, Michael Cibella immediately began speaking with the local New Jersey prosecutor’s office concerning the fact that the police had arrested and extradited the wrong person. Mr. Cibella explained to the prosecutor how, despite the local police department’s lengthy investigation into the alleged drug sales, the police were mistaken in the identification of his client as the person who committed the alleged sales. In addition, Mr. Cibella presented documentary evidence to the prosecutor’s office demonstrating that his client was actually in New York State at the time of each of the alleged drug sales which took place in New Jersey. As a result, the prosecutor’s office decided not to present the case to a Grand Jury, and instead dismissed all charges against Mr. Cibella’s client.
